MoneyWise Centre For financial Literacy (Phase II)

The 'MoneyWise Center for Financial Literacy' project, facilitated by KKSCO, stands as a transformative effort that aligns with the overarching goal of fostering financial inclusion and empowering the rural populace with the knowledge and tools essential for achieving financial well-being and stability.

In an effort to impart essential financial knowledge to the rural populace, focusing on critical aspects of the banking and financial sectors such as electronic transactions, formal sector borrowing, insurance mechanisms, government initiatives, and financial grants, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and NABARD jointly initiated an extensive financial literacy campaign. In line with this initiative, the project 'MoneyWise Center for Financial Literacy' was launched, enlisting KKSCO as one of the select non-profit organizations entrusted with its implementation. This comprehensive endeavour spans across 26 administrative blocks within the Khasi Hills, Jaintia Hills, and Ribhoi Districts of Meghalaya. Notably, the establishment of 10 distinct Centers for Financial Literacy (CFL) offices in key blocks serves as a pivotal component of this ambitious undertaking.
